Today we decided to do snack time a little differently and opened up our very own 'Snack Café'.

The children had to be very independent and self sufficient for this challenge! After ensuring their hands were clean, they had to butter their own toast, pour their own glasses of milk and serve themselves fruit.

Rather than sit in our usual snack circle on the carpet, the children sat in groups in the 'café' and chatted amongst themselves. Once the children had finished eating, there was work to be done! I then tasked them with washing their own dishes and tidying up after themselves.

We had so much fun in our café that we have decided to make this a weekly event.
