Mia from Year 6 has been very busy during lockdown and many of her lockdown adventures inadvertently became wartime themed trips, in keeping with the year 6 learning enquiry 'What impact did WW2 have on Britain?'.

"We visited Walton Gardens to see the newly opened and renovated conservatory (and enjoyed discovering terrapins and fish in the pond, while the usual attractions were closed). We read the historic information on display inside the lovely conservatory/greenhouse, including old early century photos of Walton Gardens and its workers, and how they used to grow fresh food during the war. We also went up to Frodsham Hill and were lucky enough to be the first to watch the brand new military hero silhouettes being erected and unveiled."

Sounds like you have had an amazing opportunity finding out all about WW2 Mia! I'm sure Miss Ritchie will love to hear all about the information you found out at Walton Gardens!
